The Active Transportation Committee was formed by the City Council on April 7, 2015. The Committee will help plan and implement a robust Active Transportation network for the City by improving bicycle and pedestrian connectivity throughout the City. The City is currently updating its General Plan and the changes/updates recommended by this committee will be incorporated in General Plan and presented to the City Council for final approval and adoption.
The mission of this committee is to:
- Focus on the review and update of the City's Master Plan of Bikeways and improvements to be made to bikeways in the City; and
- Evaluate the bikeability and walkabiltiy of our City in order to make recommendations for improvement to the City Council
