Confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:
- This is NOT an active emergency.
- If it is an emergency call 911 or CMPD at 714-754-5252.
- This incident occurred within the City of Costa Mesa.
- This incident did NOT occur on a freeway or onramp/offramp to a freeway.
- If occurred in these areas contact the California Highway Patrol Santa Ana Office at 714-338-5500
- You do NOT know the identity of the suspect or have information that would identify the suspect, such as name, address, license plate number.
- Online reports are for documentation ONLY and there is no expectation of further investigation.
- If you have suspect information that requires further investigation, please call CMPD at 714-754-5252.
