Welcome to the City of Costa Mesa’s Parkway Tree Planting Program.  The City takes pride in being designated as a Tree City USA for the past seventeen (17) years. The City’s tree inventory currently consists of over 23,000 trees.  As a Tree City USA, the City is always seeking opportunities to plant additional trees in order to promote all the positive environmental benefits that come with the increase in canopy coverage from the City’s Urban Forest.  

As part of the City’s Urban Forest Management, the City has implemented a Parkway Tree Planting Program that is free to residents. If you do not already have planted parkway tree in front of your property, and would like an approved 15-gallon size tree planted, please contact the Maintenance Services Division at (714) 754-5123 to see if you qualify.

Homeowners will be responsible for providing the appropriate deep watering required to grow a healthy tree. The City will provide trimming and re-staking services as needed.
