About the Community Gardens
Costa Mesa has two community gardens managed and operated by the City. The Del Mar Community Garden at 170 Del Mar St. has 57 parcels approximately 15ft. by 13ft. The Hamilton Community Garden at 523 Hamilton St. has 42 parcels approximately of the same dimension. Both gardens have water service, a portable toilet, and a trash dumpster.
The parcels are used by Costa Mesa residents to grow vegetables, flowers, fruits and plants for their personal consumption and use. Commercial growing activities are not allowed. Gardeners are responsible for maintaining their parcels, the aisle ways, and common areas. Gardeners must provide their own garden materials and tools, and abide by the garden rules and agreement.
