Lindbergh Park was named after Lindbergh School, built in 1931. The school was named after Charles Lindbergh, the famous aviator who flew across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927. The school children were given the opportunity to choose the name for the school, and selected Lindbergh, a national hero.
