The Support Services Division is responsible for specialized investigations and provides essential logistical support services to the Police Department. The division consists of more than 103 sworn and professional staff employees.

Captain Jason Chamness oversees the Support Services Division.  Captain Chamness has served with the Costa Mesa Police Department for over 20 years.  He has compiled a variety of experience in numerous assignments, including gang and crimes against person investigations, field training, firearms and force tactics training, area command, professional standards and SWAT. Captain Chamness has served as the Support Services Captain since June 2023.
