The Investigative Services Bureau, within the Support Services Division, handles all criminal investigative functions within the Police Department. This Bureau, under the command of a Police Lieutenant, is comprised of several elements with investigators assigned to units consisting of the Detective Investigations Unit, Special Investigations Unit, and the Crime Scene Unit.

Detective Investigation Unit
Detectives
assigned to this unit are divided into the Crimes Against Persons
Detail and Property Economic Crimes Detail. Each of these details is
supervised by a Detective Sergeant. Also located within the Detective
Investigations Unit are the Crime Analysis and Court Liaison functions.
